BJP Leader Satya Kumar Says Unemployment Crisis Worsens Due to Lack of Job Calendar Implementation
BJP national secretary Y. Satya Kumar participated in the BJYM protest at Gymkhana Grounds in Vijayawada, expressing his disappointment with the current government’s failure to tackle the unemployment issue. Kumar accused the YSR Congress Party and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of not living up to their promise of providing employment to the youth. He stated that since Reddy assumed office in 2019, the annual job calendar has not been released even once, leading to a rise in suicides among educated yet unemployed individuals, based on National Crime Records Bureau data.
Kumar said the unemployment rate in the state was over 4%, higher than the national average of 3%. He highlighted the increasing trend of youth migration to other states seeking better opportunities. Kumar alleged the government had launched the Aadudam Andhra program merely to distract people from the pressing issue of unemployment.
