Esteemed Civic Leadership Fellowship 2024: Chicago's Influential Leaders Bag the Selection
Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) (www.lgcchicago.org) has selected 26 renowned executives for the 2024 Cohort of The Daniel Burnham Fellowship. This accelerator nurtures leaders to significantly impact the workforce and economic growth by integrating them into the city’s civic fabric. Over the years, collaborations during the Fellowship have led to significant investments, public policy creation, food distribution, community investments, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and relief efforts for COVID-19.
Among the successful collaborations is the Dominican University expansion into Chicago, thanks to Burnham Fellow Glena Temple and LGC Fellow Raul Raymundo. This new campus will extend educational access and academic programs for Near West Side, Lower West Side, and North Lawndale communities. Some notable executives selected for the Fellowship include Michael Ericson, Chevy Humphrey, Melissa Donaldson, Sean Garrett, Sandra Cordova Micek, Eric Smith, Eileen Mitchell, Stephen Harris, John A. Latessa, Jr., John Palfrey, Mark Ishaug, Brenda Battle, RN, BSN, MBA, and Kate Gebo.
The list of fellows for the 2024 Cohort include experts from the Chicago Academy of Sciences, The Joyce Foundation, W.W. Grainger, Inc., SDI Presence, Goodman Theatre, Rheaply, Dominican University, University of Chicago Health System, Bowa Construction, AAR Corp, The Chicago Community Trust, City Colleges of Chicago, Primera Engineers Ltd., Business Leadership Council, Chicago United, Chicago Public Media, the Morton Arboretum, ComEd, SNtial Technologies, Inc., BMO Financial Group, Northern Trust, Ignite, Loyola University Chicago, Erikson Institute, and Northwestern University Settlement House.
