Exploring the World of Music and Music Education through an EdD Degree
The Ed.D program is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for a career in the teaching and management of music in elementary and secondary schools, early childhood settings, private schools and private studios, colleges and universities, and interdisciplinary disciplines, such as the arts and humanities, adult and special education. For the Spring 2024, Summer 2024, and Fall 2024 terms, the requirements are being displayed.
Students enrolled in a degree program in the Program of Music and Music Education as of Fall Term 2021 or later must meet specific requirements in addition to Teachers College’s policies for student progress and degree completion. If they fail to remain in good standing, they will be placed on program academic probation for one semester and be notified by their Advisor and the Registrar’s office. Students will be restricted to part-time registration until their grades are above the minimum level.
