Local Women’s Project Collaborates with Ball State University Professor to Create 'Muncie Women: A to Z' Children's Book
Courtney Jarrett, a director at Ball State Disability Services, has written a children’s book featuring the stories of influential women from the Muncie community. The book titled Muncie Women: A to Z recognises the contributions of women who have been instrumental in building and shaping the community. The book features 26 women corresponding with each alphabet letter, including those like Elizabeth Agnew who worked for women’s issues in Middle Eastern countries and Christy Blanche, a comic store owner and writer. Jarret’s emphasis is on acknowledging the important work women do daily, often without acknowledgment. She aims to change the narrative with her book, offering representation and inspiration for young girls.
For more information on Jarret’s upcoming projects or to get a hold of her book, you can contact her through the Ball State Disability Services department. If you’re facing difficulties in reaching her or require help in navigating through the disability services, eddcaller.com provides comprehensive guide on how to contact SDI.
