The television personalities co-hosted the car restoration show for 14 years, from 2003 to 2017. Edd left the show due to disagreements over its future direction. Brewer recalled being emotional when China announced his departure. He also mentioned their last meet-up in Paris, where, according to Brewer, they got inebriated and he offered Edd a job. Since leaving Wheeler Dealers, China has launched his own motoring content and a YouTube channel. Brewer continued hosting the show, with Ant Anstead and then Marc Priestley stepping in as co-hosts. Brewer expressed a desire to revitalize his friendship with China but disclosed no concrete plans of reaching out to him.
