In November, Minnesota added 9,500 jobs, marking the fifth consecutive month of growth, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The state’s unemployment rate saw a minor decrease of one-tenth of a percentage point, landing at 3.1% for the month. Eight of the 11 key sectors saw job gains during this period. Over the past three months, the state workforce grew by 17,300, and for the year to date, over 47,800 jobs have been added in Minnesota. In contrast, the labor force saw a decrease of 7,400 in November, which slightly lowered the participation rate by two-tenths of a percentage point, settling at 68.3%. In November, the average hourly wage in Minnesota was $36.29 as per DEED.
