The jobless rate in Germany remained unchanged at an adjusted 3.1 percent in November, according to data from Destatis. The number of unemployed people increased by 5,000 from October to 1.36 million in November. The unadjusted unemployment rate also remained stable at 3.0 percent compared to the same month the previous year. Destatis noted that employment increased by 0.4 percent from the previous year, continuing the long-term upward trend in the labour market, albeit with a decrease in momentum. The Federal Labor Agency is set to release monthly unemployment data for December, with economists predicting the jobless rate to remain at 5.9 percent.
