Tackling Unemployment: Why Graduates Should Understand Ghana's Economic Landscape to Uncover Opportunities
CEO of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Seth Twum-Akwaboah, is encouraging graduates to understand the Ghanaian economy to secure employment. Despite the challenging economic climate and high unemployment rate, he believes that with proper training and knowledge, youth can uncover work opportunities. He emphasizes that taking advantage of business opportunities requires an understanding of the economy, awareness of the market, and entrepreneurial abilities.
The economic conditions and increasing number of job seekers have created intense competition for limited jobs, placing a financial strain on young people attempting to enter the labor market. In view of this, Twum-Akwaboah suggests that youth seek advice and mentorship in the business sector.
