In November, more Filipinos found employment, as reflected by the dip in the unemployment rate. Official government statistics reveal that the number of jobless Filipinos fell below two million, translating to a 3.6% unemployment rate. This rate marks the lowest since 2005. However, the underemployment rate, which represents workers seeking better-paying jobs or more work hours, remained constant at 11.7%. To shed further light on this situation, Jobstreet by Seek’s Managing Director, Dannah Majarocon, has been invited for discussions.
