Upcoming EDD Matching Grants in Science and Technology: Everything You Need to Know
The New Mexico Economic Development Department has announced that applications for the FY26 New Mexico Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Matching Grant will open on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. This competitive state-funded program aids early-stage businesses in product readiness for market entry, sales, expansion, and job creation. It supports the commercialization of technologies developed with Federal SBIR/STTR grant awards. All New Mexico-based for-profit corporations with an active Phase I or Phase II Federal SBIR/STTR are eligible to apply. Science and technology companies in specified industry sectors, such as aerospace, biosciences, advanced computing, water technologies, and advanced energy are prioritized. The grant’s information, grant manual, and application link will be available on the OSST SBIR Matching Grant webpage. There will also be an informational webinar on May 27 at 1 pm MDT for businesses intending to apply.
