Wheeler Dealers’ co-stars Mike Brewer and Edd China forged a strong partnership as hosts of the popular classic car restoration show for 13 years. However, they separated in 2017 shortly after the series commenced its production in America. Since then, Mike has been at the helm of the show that commemorated its 20th anniversary this year, while Edd stepped away to pursue other projects. Notably, the duo stressed that Edd’s departure did not arise from a feud but was based on disagreements regarding the future direction of the series.

Brewer, in a recent episode of The Road to Success podcast, confessed that the pair no longer kept in touch. However, he expressed a wish to remain friends with his former co-host China. Meanwhile, Edd maintained silence on his specific reasons for leaving the series but later shared an update. He argued that the “detailed and comprehensive coverage of his fixes on the show were set to face the chop by production officials, a move that he felt compromised the quality of his work and the integrity of the show. After the duo’s split, fans targeted Mike and his family with angry messages, leading Edd to appeal for peace.

Edd explained their relationship saying, Is he my favorite person right now? Probably not. And I know for sure I’m not his. That’s okay. We are both adults. We will get over ourselves. We will get past this and then we will be fine… We’ve just had a slight disagreement over how the show should be made.
