Dennis Franklin Moody, a native of Braggadocio, Missouri, was born to parents Opal Hutson and Edd M. Moody Sr. on January 5, 1946. He passed away on March 5, 2024, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, aged 78 years and two months. His parents, brothers Charles and Ed Moody Jr., and sisters Juanita Rone, Geri Hulshof, and Etha Rae Downing, all predeceased him. Dennis was married to Anne Robertson on August 13, 1966, in Portageville.

Dennis was a dedicated outdoorsman, interested in hunting and fishing in every available season, while his passion for farming led to his ownership and operation of Spray Tech, a business he developed alongside his sons. His greatest joy, however, was the time he spent with his family. He leaves behind a wish of fond memories his wife, Anne Moody; his sons, Dennis ‘Denny’ (Janet) Moody II and Mark (Tara) Moody; his grandchildren Amanda Penn, Mikel Moody, Kenndy Howard, Madalaine Moody; and numerous reltives and friends.

A visitation service for Dennis will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 10 at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Portageville Bulldog Foundation.
