2023-2024 Provost Scholars: Spotlight on EdD Students
Charlotte Klass and Jessica McAtamney, students in Drexel University’s School of Education’s EdD in Educational Leadership and Management program, have been chosen as 2023-2024 Nina Henderson Provost Scholars. The select scholarship program focuses on empowering students with leadership opportunities and enabling them to work on projects aimed at enhancing the Drexel experience.
Over the course of the academic year, Charlotte will work on a project called Teaching with Technology at Drexel University: Creating Student-Centered Learning Experiences. With the aim of improving student engagement and success, the project will explore innovative uses of teaching with technology and will involve discussions with staff, faculty, and students. Her unique perspective as a special education case manager provides a distinctive viewpoint to advance the Drexel 2030 initiative.
Jessica’s project focuses on Establishing Climate and Sustainability Community-Based Experiential Learning . Collaborating with the Environmental Collaboratory within the Office of the Provost, Jessica will work on creating effective partnership models between universities and community-based organizations. Using her 20 years of experience as an educator, she hopes to augment her leadership skills through the scholarship program and contribute meaningfully to the university’s efforts.
